PDF/VT: What It Is and Why It’s Needed

Designers and print service providers face numerous challenges every day in trying to find new ways to promote their customers. It’s not uncommon to find multiple software packages being used for different aspects of the process, such as viewing, printing and archiving.

Crawford Technologies has released a good slide overview on PDF/VT-1, PDF/VT-2 and PDF/VT-2s that outlines how the standard can best be used, its benefits and its current limitations.

PDF/VT is a work in progress, says the company, and is not yet ready to replace existing infrastructure.
