The latest release of the industry-supported PDF/A validator has been released.

An open source project developed by the Open Preservation Foundation and the PDF Association, veraPDF includes four components:

  • The implementation checker validating all parts and conformance levels of ISO 19005
  • The policy checker, which facilitates the addition of custom checks to enforce institutional policy beyond PDF/A requirements
  • A reporter, which produces both human- and machine-readable reports
  • A metadata fixer, which adds PDF/A metadata to files that otherwise confirm with the specification

The current release is now available for download.
