Excerpt: PDF/A-4 is about to be published around mid of 2020. It comes with various changes in features and structure of conformance levels. Since it is based on PDF 2.0 the basis has also changed. In addition it is part of a series of other standards such as PDF/X-6 or PDF/VT-3 which will be published around the same time and have many overlaps but also differences.
