For the first time, PDF Day will be held in Australia during November.
The event is designed to assist CIOs, document management experts and electronic content policymakers understand ISO-standardised PDF technology.
In particular, there will be a focus on archiving and accessibility, as well as the direction that the PDF is taking and how businesses can use the technology to resolve their problems.
“PDF Day events are known in Europe and North America for their educational, informative and best practice content, so it’s a pleasure on behalf of CiSRA to be able to welcome these international experts to Sydney for Australia’s benefit,” said Peter Wyatt, general manager at Canon Information Systems Research Australia (CiSRA), who will be hosting the event.
PDF Day events occur annually in Europe and alternate with PDF Technical Conference events in North America. Founded in 2006, the PDF Association has been staging events providing education and promotion of PDF technology since 2008.
“This is the first PDF technology event in Australia,” said Matt Kuznicki, PDF Association chairman of the board.
“Since we have five days of ISO meetings the following week, we decided to take advantage of the fact that these experts were gathering in Sydney to provide an opportunity for interaction with Australian policymakers, managers and developers, and to provide some insight into the world of ISO standardised PDF technology.”
PDF Day Australia will be held on 25 November 2016.
