UK: Open document formats for government documents
Open document formats like PDF/A, HTML5 and ODF will become obligatory for government documents, minister announced.

The Minister for the Cabinet Office, Francis Maude, announced on July 22, 2014 that open standards were selected for sharing and viewing government documents. The selected standards are: PDF/A and HTML for viewing documents and ODF for sharing or collaborating on government documents. These standards will come into effect straight away for all new projects.
