International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
ISO is an independent, non-governmental international organization with a membership of 162 national standards bodies. ISO’s Central Secretariat is located in Geneva, Switzerland
Through its members, the ISO brings together experts to share knowledge and develop voluntary, consensus-based, market relevant International Standards that support innovation and provide solutions to global challenges.
The PDF Association became an ISO “Category A” liaison in 2009, with the right to distribute drafts of ISO standards to its members and contribute comments.
In 2020 the PDF Association took over administration of ISO TC 171 SC 2.
In 2021 the PDF Association began to sell ISO standards on behalf of ANSI.
