PDF Day France will be the first French-speaking event of the PDF Association, organised by our member ORPALIS. Stephan Jaeggi

Stephan Jaeggi, owner of PrePress-Consulting, will be hosting the keynote introduction at the PDF Days Europe 2018.

Presenter: Stephan Jaeggi, Engineer in Printing and Packaging (ESIG/COMEM), is the founder and owner of PrePress-Consulting in Binningen near Basel (Switzerland). He is involved in PDF already since 1991. He is a worldwide recognized expert in PDF and has gained experience in PDF technology in many projects. In countless seminars he has shared his knowledge with many thousand users in Europe, South Africa and North America. Stephan Jaeggi is co-author of the standard ISO 15930-3 (PDF/X-3), technical expert of ISO TC130/TF2/WG2 (PDF/X standards), technical officer of the Ghent Workgroup (GWG), certification officer of PDFX-ready Switzerland and member of the advisory board of CIP4 (JDF development).

Session Description: In his introduction to the keynote, Stephan Jaeggi will share his personal story about his relationship to PDF in the past 27 years. From the first public presentation of the PDF concept by Adobe founder John Warnock, beta testing of Carousel, the release of Acrobat 1.0 with PDF 1.0, the fight for better prepress features, the birth of the first PDF/X ISO standards, the establishment of PDF in print production to the latest developments based on PDF 2.0.
