FREMONT, Calif. Foxit Software, a leading software provider of fast, affordable, and secure PDF solutions, today announced that Lavan, a leading legal firm in Western Australia, has selected Foxit’s PhantomPDF Business as its PDF Software solution. Lavan, one of Western Australia’s most prestigious law firms, touts one of the largest litigation teams in the region, and provides legal advice on a wide variety of topics, including banking and finance, construction and infrastructure, corporate and commercial law, education, employment and safety, energy, family law, government, insolvency and reconstruction, intellectual property, liquor licensing and hospitality, etc.
Lavan’s legal specialists handle large numbers of documents every day and rely heavily on PDF editor tools to merge documents, add and delete pages, edit and highlight text, and to sign and redact documents. The organization needed a PDF solution that would integrate seamlessly with their DMS, NetDocuments, which is a secure SaaS cloud system commonly used in the legal sector. Integration with Lavan’s DMS is very important as it enables users to work on and make changes to their PDF documents, via a secure device, from wherever they are. When their current provider was unable to provide integration, Lavan turned to Foxit and its PhantomPDF Business solution.
“PhantomPDF quickly stood out from the other solutions we evaluated, due to its speed, stability and ease of use,” said Marco Marcello, Manager of Information Systems at Lavan. “After running a trial with 15 people across various legal teams, it became clear PhantomPDF was what we were looking for. The trial team did not require any training as they found it intuitive and easy to use, and this experience continued when we rolled out PhantomPDF across the firm - no extra training and no complaints during deployment is not typical when onboarding new software.”
Around 100 of Lavan’s employees use Foxit PhantomPDF to quickly edit and make changes to PDF files, combine and delete pages, redact privileged or confidential information, make notes, create PDF forms, perform OCR, search documents, email them to solicitors, and much more. Plus, with PhantomPDF’s easy integration with its DMS Lavan’s staff members can work on PDF documents from their accounts, so the changes they make are instantly saved to the cloud-based DMS and those PDF files are accessible anytime, anywhere.
“We are excited about the future with Foxit and PhantomPDF as they will play a big part in our continuing move to a paperless office,” said Marcello. “We could not be happier with our choice in PDF editors. PhantomPDF Business delivered on its promises and the deployment was quick and painless.”
“We could not be more thrilled to be working with the great team at Lavan and are excited about helping them meet their goals moving forward,” said Frank Kettenstock, Chief Marketing Officer at Foxit. “We are very confident that when organizations compare PhantomPDF’s, costs, and commitment to service and innovation to other solutions in the market, selecting Foxit was an easy choice.”
As well as seamless integration with Document Management Systems (DMS), PhantomPDF Business provides unmatched benefits and features to users, including:
