The speakers are Dr. Bernd Wild, board member PDF Association and Gary Hodkinson, Vice Chair of the UK PDF Association.
Using PDF/A for long-term archiving of documents in the health sector is of interest for 2 main reasons:
- the legal requirements for the minimum retention of medical records in the clinical and radiological area, which can be for up to 30 years after treatment, and
- the variety of file formats for electronic documents used in the healthcare sector and the associated software applications and tools.
