ISO meeting

In May, 2019 the ISO committees for PDF, PDF/A and PDF/UA, as well as other committees for PDF-related standards, will gather in Toronto, Canada for four days of meetings to advance each of these standards.

The following committees will meet:

ISO 32000 / PDF (WG 8)

Work: To be determined based on the outcome of the Edinburgh, 2018 meetings, but generally, the subject will be the “dated revision” of ISO 32000-2, consideration of new features for a future version of PDF, and related standards.

ISO 14289 / PDF/UA (WG 9)

Work: Continued development of PDF/UA-2, looking in particular towards leveraging ISO 32000-2’s dated revision. A DIS ballot is possible, if unlikely, as a product of the Toronto meeting.

ISO 19005 / PDF/A (WG 5)

Work: To be determined based on the results from Edinburgh. A DIS ballot will likely await the dated revision of PDF 2.0.

“PDF/R” (PDF/raster) (WG 8)

Work: This document is now in the regular ISO procedure, and will get its second review in Toronto, if a DIS is not achieved in Edinburgh.

Attending the meetings

The meetings will be held in Toronto, Canada. Teleconference access will also be provided.
