The European Disability Forum reports that European Commissioner Thyssen has confirmed that the European Accessibility Act, under development since 2012, is ready for discussion, and possible approval by the College of Commissioners on 2 December. 2015.
If the College agrees the Act may be published on 3 December, the European Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Commissioner Thyssen stressed the importance of the European Accessibility Act in ensuring that accessible goods and services will be available to persons with disabilities living under European law.
