PDF/A is an ISO standard for long-term archiving of electronic documents. If one is to save rich documents, this is the format to use. Although PDF/A is more and more widely used, detailed knowledge about the standard and how to best take advantage of it is rare. For this seminar, we have some of the world’s foremost experts on PDF/A to help answer any questions you may have about PDF/A.
This seminar will take place on April 17, 2012, at the National Archives in Oslo, Norway. Presentations and discussions are done in a combination of Norwegian and English, as the non-Norwegian speakers will present in English.
This is what you will learn:
- PDF/A archive standard in Norway and abroad
- What is PDF/A and how can I use it?
- Which PDF/A version to use?
- How do I create PDF/A documents?
- What does a good PDF/A workflow look like?
Presentations will be held by Anthony Lærdahl (National Archives Norway), Thomas Zellmann (Luratech), Olaf Drümmer (callas software) and David van Driessche (FourPees).
