The conference offers lectures by international experts, tracks for different areas of focus and interest in PDF/A as well as workshops on the practical use of PDF/A. PDF/A Competence Center members will present their solutions in an accompanying exhibition. October 17–20, 2010: GITEX in DubaiThe PDF/A Competence Center will be represented by our member Information Fort (www.infofort.com) at this large IT show in the Middle East. October 26–28, 2010: DMS Expo in StuttgartThe DMS EXPO 2010, Europe’s largest conference and trade fair for electronic information management and document management, will be held from October 26 to 28 on the Stuttgart fair grounds. The PDF/A Competence Center will be represented again this year by several member companies at our large exhibition booth.

June 1–4 2010: Archiving 2010 in Den HaagThe IS&T Archiving Conference this year will take place at the Koninklijke Biblotheek (Royal Library of the Netherlands). Thomas Zellmann and Mark McKinney present the paper “PDF/A-2: The New Part of PDF/A”. On Thursday, June 3rd, the PDF/A Competence Center will exhibit and Hans-Joachim Hübner (SRZ) and Thomas Zellmann will be there. May 17–20, 2010: PDF/A Competence Center at the Forum PA (Rome, Italy)The PDF/A Competence Center will be on-site with a partner booth at the Forum PA in Rome, Italy. Our members Adobe and C.M. Trading and the PDF/A Competence Center will present new informations about PDF/A. May 12–15, 2010: PDF/A Competence Center at InprintingThe PDF/A Competence Center will exhibit on the 12th Inprinting fair in Milan. Members like e.g. Bridge Technologies, callas software, Compart and further Italian members will inform together about PDF/A from May 12th until May 15th. April 28–30, 2010: 8th European Conference on Digital ArchivingThe 8th European Conference on Digital Archiving will be held in Geneva from April 28–30, 2010. The PDF/A Competence Center takes part with its Partner Member PDF Tools AG. March 26, 2010: PDF/A Seminar in Washington, D.C.PDF/A Competence Center and AIIM hold their second US based PDF/A Seminar on March 26, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Doubletree Washington Hotel in Washington, D.C. September 14, 2009: Pre-DMS PDF/A SeminarDuring afternoon of September 14th, the PDF/A Competence Center will conduct a Pre-DMS PDF/A seminar in Cologne. Presentations include an introduction to archiving formats, an overview of the PDF/A standard, PDF/A workflow and electronic signatures, PDF/A and metadata, PDF/A in scanning applications and PDF/A for e-mail and digital documents. AIIM: PDF/Archive Training CourseThe PDF/Archive Training Course is designed to introduce the PDF/Archive (PDF/A) standard ISO 19005-1, Document management - Electronic document file format for long-term preservation - Part 1: Use of PDF 1.4 (PDF/A-1) and to help organizations to better preserve their electronic knowledge. The program covers the file format used for long-term preservation of electronic documents and guidance on how to make the best use of this file format.

February 11-12, 2009: 15th E-Government Users Forum 2009The 15th E-Government Users Forum will be held on February 11th and 12th in the Media and Visitor’s Center of the German federal government’s Media and Information Department in Berlin. The Expert Forum 1 deals “Efficient IT services through a shared service center”, Expert Forum 2 has the title: “Central administrative services - model for the future”. Three market forums of 90 minutes each round out the event. The PDF/A Competence Center will have a booth in the accompanying exhibition area. Attendance at the event is free for public employees. 1. It will be organised jointly by the Archives de France (part of the French Culture and Communication Ministry) and the Association des Archivistes Français. PDF/A Competence Center member SEAL will contribute a workshop in the session “File formats for long term preservation”. Topic: “PDF/A: standard for the long-time archiving”. More information about the conference and registration: www.dlm2008.com October 19–23, 2008: Gitex in DubaiPDF/A Competence Center member eDOCUman will present the PDF/A standard at Gitex Technology Week. The event takes place October 19 - 23 at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The international IT Trade Event for Enterprise for the Middle East, Africa and South Asia builds upon the exhibition’s position as the region’s largest IT procurement platform. October 7–8, 2008: Le Forum des Acteurs du Numérique (FAN) in ParisThe PDF/A Competence Center’s first appearance in France was at the Documation in March of this year. Due to the enormous resonance that was received at our joint booth, we have decided to also present ourselves with a booth at the Forum des Acteurs du Numérique (FAN) from October 7 to 8 in Paris. This participation will be supported by Aproged, the French association of DMS providers, who in the meantime have finalized a cooperation agreement with the PDF/A Competence Center As opposed to Documation, where only DMS providers are present, there will also be a large contingent of companies from the output management sector at FAN, meaning a much wider spectrum of document processing will be encountered there. 7 members of the PDF/A Competence Center will be participating as exhibitors at the joint booth, compared to 3 at the Documation, so we will much more noticeable. The following companies will be represented: ABBYY, Adobe, callas software, Compart, intarsys consulting, Seal Systems and Spigraph.

March 8–9, 2007: 1st PDF/A Conference – StuttgartMore than 240 people attended the 1st PDF/A Conference held from March 8-9, 2007 in Stuttgart, Germany, far exceeding all expectations. The conference, aimed at users and developers, offered a unique opportunity to learn all about PDF/A from the creation through to digital signatures and more.
