Anyone know if two files, in either the PDF/A-1a or PDF/A-1b formats (two same format, not one of each), can be compared using the Adobe Compare function?

Thanks,

PDF/A files are still PDF files, so by definition any tool that can compare PDF files can also compare PDF/A files.

Please keep in mind that most PDF compare tools – whether the Compare feature in Acrobat or offerings from other vendors – focus on the page appearance and page content. Anything beyond that, like metadata or embedded files etc., is often not included in the comparison in such tools. Your mileage may vary though.
