Welcome to the homepage of the PDF Association Competence Centers, a broad collaboration between world-leading companies and experts in PDF technology. The PDF Association began with the PDF/A Competence Center in 2006.
The aim of the Competence Centers is to promote the exchange of information and experience with PDF Standards, with each Competence Center providing focus on a specific PDF International Standard. At present there are 4 Competence Centers:
PDF Competence Center
Focused on ISO 32000, the PDF Competence Center is a starting-point for new PDF developers and for those looking for detailed information on implementing with PDF technology.
PDF/A Competence Center
Focused on ISO 19005, the PDF/A Competence Center discusses PDF technology in the context of electronic document archiving.
PDF/UA Competence Center
ISO 14289 is a completely new standard, expected for publication in early 2012. The PDF/UA Competence Center provides a platform for implementers of accessible PDF.
PDF/VT Competence Center
Focused on ISO 16612, PDF/VT addresses needs specific to variable and transactional printers. With both a technical and marketing working group, the PDF/VT Competence Center is a starting-point for those interested in shaping the impact of PDF/VT in the printing and output management industry.
